Kia ora koutou,
Ka nui te mihi, ka nui te aroha ki a koutou e te whānau. Nau mai, haere mai ki tō tātou kura Katorika, ko Pihopa Edward Gaines.
We are a small special character school with a big heart! We cater for learners in
Years 1-8. All learners are encouraged to be confident and active participants in their learning, to be effective communicators and to strive for excellence, while getting to know and love God.
We believe strongly in the philosophy of hauora, where our learning programmes are designed to nurture each aspect of our learner's intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions:
Taha Hinengaro ~ Taha Tinana ~ Taha Whanau ~ Taha Wairua
Our school is a whanau - a family. Our teachers are dedicated educators, with a passion for building learning focused relationships with each learners and their families. We aim to give our learners the tools they require to be active participants and contributors in their own learning.
We offer a rigorous curriculum, centred on the core learning areas of Literacy, Numeracy and Religious Education. Our learners are given many opportunities to extend themselves through the exciting and challenging learning programmes on offer.
We look forward to welcoming your family into our school whanau where together we can work with and support your child in developing a life-long love of learning.
